GLP-1 prior authorization training for medical practices

Get GLP-1 prior authorizations off your prescriber's plate, for good.

Care Cadence Rx trains your own front-desk and medical assistant staff to run GLP-1 prior authorizations and appeals, then keeps them current every month as payer rules change.

How it works

Your team does the work. We make sure they know exactly how, and that it stays right.

  1. 1

    We build your practice's guide

A step-by-step prior authorization guide written for your office, your payers and the GLP-1s you prescribe.

  2. 2

We train your team, appeals included

Your staff learn to gather what is already documented, match it to the payer's criteria, submit, track and appeal. Short sessions that fit around your schedule.

  3. 3

We keep them current, every month

Payer rules change constantly. Each month you get what changed, which step in your guide is now out of date, and the new wording. Then we confirm the change landed.

Care Cadence Rx, how it works: a practical, structured process to improve prior authorization efficiency, in four steps. Assess and align: understand your AOM formulary, payers and current workflow. Implement: set up a consistent, repeatable PA workflow for your clinic. Train and equip: provide staff training, templates and job aids. Optimize: track results, refine processes and support ongoing success.

Built so your team can own it

  • Clinical details, made learnable. Your staff learn to find exactly what each payer asks for in the chart, such as BMI, qualifying conditions and past treatments, and to prepare the request so your prescriber only has to review and sign.
  • New hires get up to speed without starting over. Your written guide and a recorded walkthrough are included.
  • Built with a clinical pharmacist. The payer criteria and appeal templates we teach from are built with one.

Built for small, independent practices

Practices where prior authorizations land on a prescriber or a busy front desk, not a billing department.

  • Obesity medicine practices
  • Primary care practices prescribing GLP-1s
Linda Ozokwelu, founder of Care Cadence Rx.

Hi, I'm Linda.

I've worked in pharmacy since 2007, starting as a pharmacy technician and team trainer. Since then I've trained more than 50 specialty pharmacy technicians, managed pharmacy operations, and directed patient services in specialty pharmacy.

I've also standardized a specialty pharmacy workflow across five locations and managed intake services for a drug manufacturer's patient services program. I hold a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from UMBC, and I'm a certified Project Management Professional.

I started Care Cadence Rx to help small practices build a prior authorization process their own team can run with confidence, so the work gets done right and stops landing on the prescriber.
